After a lot of behind the scenes work Minor League Central is now ready for updates for the 2013 season and will be updated daily. Thank you for your patience while we get things set up. Due to some difficulties with our stat parser, updates need to be manually verified so they’ll happen in the afternoon for the next couple days, but once we fully verify everything is running correctly stats will be updated at 3 am Pacific Time as they used too.
As part of our preparation for the 2013 season, we have several bug fixes and some new features here. The biggest announcement as that MLC now calculates wOBA for every player in our database. In a few days we’ll let you know the full details but if you are unfamiliar wOBA provides a way to quickly compare a players offensive production to the league average. wOBA can be found in the Batting Main table for all position players.
In addition to wOBA we have made several bug fixes to some long standing issues. When we moved to a WordPress based CMS it became impossible to access stats outside of 2012. This has been fixed on the leader boards and the affiliate pages. In addition we’ve made several other fixes including a few cases where our league averages would not work, and improvements in how we determine our top performances of the day.
